Dear Friends:

The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians’ Administrative Offices and Tribal Health Clinic relocated to brand new facilities in September 2002. Both are located at 90 and 100 Via Juana Lane, respectively.

The Administrative Offices facility has enabled the Tribe to invite members of the community to use the facility for various meetings and events. We have hosted a number of events, including the Community Emergency Response Team training (CERT) sponsored by the local fire department, the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon on Labor Day, and various educational and cultural classes.

The Santa Ynez Tribal Health Clinic (SYTHC) continues to reach out to our Tribal community, as well as the entire Valley, to provide medical and dental care. This new facility has expanded the dental care so that more patients are provided dental care services and education. For more information, please visit the SYTHC website at www.sythc.com.

This past year has been an exciting one for the Tribe. The ability to help our Tribal community is both satisfying and wonderful. The ability to also help the surrounding community is gratifying and demonstrates how far the Tribe has traveled.
